For New Zealand, Martin Snedden was the best bowler for New Zealand - who picked up 3 wickets for 30 runs in 10 overs, Gary Troup also took 3 wickets for 65 runs in 10 overs and Ewen Chatfield claimed one wicket.

New Zealand Innings:

New Zealand bowled out for 224 in 49.3 overs with Jeremy Coney was the top-scorer - who made 49 runs off 63 balls - falling just one run short of a half-century - contained three-fours.

Mark Burgess contributed 42 runs off 50 balls featuring two-fours, Lance Cairns blasted a 39 runs off 38 balls hitting three-fours and two sixes with a striking rate of 102.63.

Geoff Howarth added 26 runs off 57 balls with a boundary and John Wright contributed 18 runs off 24 balls contained one six & one four.

India Bowling:

For India, Dilip Doshi, Kapil Dev, Karsan Ghavri.was the best bowler's for India - each taking 2 wickets, Sandeep Patil took 1 wicket for 3 runs in an over and Yograj Singh claimed one wicket.

Player of the match:

Yashpal Sharma was named Player of the Match for his brilliant batting performance to scoring a 72 runs off 105 balls - which including 4 sixes and 3 fours.
