  • Pakistan’s total of 146 was their seventh lowest completed innings score against India in T20 internationals, and it is also their joint sixth lowest completed innings score in the T20 Asia Cup.
  • Kuldeep Yadav’s figures of 4 for 30 were his fifth best bowling figures for India in T20 internationals and the second best by an Indian bowler against Pakistan in T20Is, behind Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s 4 for 26 at the same venue in the 2022 T20 Asia Cup. It was also Kuldeep’s second best bowling performance in the T20 Asia Cup, after his 4 for 7 against UAE at the same venue earlier in the tournament.
  • The 57-run partnership between Tilak Varma and Sanju Samson was the fifth highest fourth-wicket stand for India against Pakistan in T20Is.
  • Tilak Varma and Shivam Dube’s 60-run partnership was the second highest fifth-wicket stand for India against Pakistan in T20Is. The highest is a 113-run partnership between Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya at Melbourne during the 2022 T20 World Cup.


* The Indian cricket team has refused to accept the Asia Cup glory during the presentation ceremony that was delayed by more than an hour after they beat Pakistan by five wickets in the final on Sunday in Dubai.

"I have been informed by the Asian Cricket Council that the Indian cricket team will not be collecting their awards tonight," Simon Doull, the presenter for the host broadcaster, said at the ceremony. "So that does conclude the post-match presentation."

Pakistan posted 146 all out after being 113 for 2 in 19.1 overs with Sahibzada Farhan was the top-scorer with smashing a 57 runs off 38 balls featuring 5 fours and 3 sixes with a strike rate of 150.

Fakhar Zaman contributed 46 runs off 35 balls contained 2 sixes and 2 fours, while Saim Ayub added 14 runs off 11 balls with 2 fours.

India Bowling:

For India, Kuldeep Yadav was the best bowler for India - who claimed a 4 wickets for 30 runs in 4 overs, Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy each claimed 2 wickets.

India Innings:

India started their chase at 20 for 3 and successfully reached 150 for 5 in 19.4 overs with Tilak Varma was the top-scorer with a unbeaten 69 off 53 balls.

Shivam Dube smashed a 33 runs off 22 balls including 2 sixes and 2 fours with a solid striking-rate of 150, Sanju Samson added 24 runs off 21 balls contained 2 fours and a six.

Pakistan Innings:

For Pakistan, Faheem Ashraf was the best bowler for Pakistan - who claiming 3 wickets for 29 runs in 4 overs, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Abrar Ahmed each captured one wicket.

Player of the match and tournament:

Tilak Varma was named Player of the Match for his match-winning magnificent innings of an unbeaten 69 runs off 53 balls - which included 4 sixes and 3 fours.

Abhishek Sharma earned the Player of the Tournament award for his impressive contribution of 314 runs with an average of 44.85.
