A record-breaking hundred by Dennis Amiss, a supporting half-century by Keith Fletcher and Chris Old’s blazing fifty powers England registered record-breaking 202-run win over India, despite one of the most unusual innings from Sunil Gavaskar, who remained unbeaten on 36 off 174 balls during the historic inaugural World Cup match.
